Logo: Celebrating 30 Years
Welcome to the Canadian Netherlands Business and Professional Association (CNBPA).

The CNBPA has enjoyed a long history as one of the most vibrant and active European business chambers in Toronto. In addition to leading-edge business speakers, we provide a strong networking forum for both Dutch expatriates and Canadian business people with Dutch interests.

Our goals for 2010 are:
(1) continue to build community, membership and our online presence;
(2) host at least 6 diverse networking events;
(3) continue to ensure the CNBPA is self-sustaining through our long-term sponsorship strategy.

We always welcome new corporate and individual members and invite you to get involved through both our business and social events. We also invite you to join our LinkedIn and Facebook groups, and to follow us on Twitter.

We look forward to meeting you at our next event, and thank all the members and the Toronto Dutch business community for their ongoing support of the CNBPA.

Lisa Stam, President

Welcome to the CNBPA in 2010

The Canadian Netherlands Business and Professional Association has started a new challenge and era. After 30 years of active and passionate presence in the Toronto community, the CNBPA is ready to start working on the next 30 years. So what do we have in mind for you?

Summer has arrived and the CNBPA is in full swing to make this another successful year. Recently, our MAY MEETUP 2010 event: Biking & the Economy Meetup: How biking is gaining share in Toronto and helping to boost economic development, was a great success. Keynote speaker was Gil Penalosa, Executive Director of the Canadian non-profit 8 - 80 Cities as well as a successful international speaker and consultant. Mr. Penalosa was very engaging and successfully tied together biking, urban development, building effective community, and how all of that ties into economic development.

Our last event, Thursday, July 15, we held our annual summer party at Toronto's National Yacht Club, SUMMER ORANGE FEEST where a good time was had by all and 4 youth bicycles were donated to the Toronto Charity Frontlines - courtesy of KPMG.

In August: Networking opportunity - EUCOCIT presents: Multicultural Mega Networking: NETWORKING WITH THE WORLD IN TORONTO on Thursday, August 19, 2010, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queens Park, Toronto | more |

Coming this Fall: On October 28, 2010 we will be hosting a Networking Event jointly with the German Chamber, and in November our AGM and Sinterklaas Social will be held. (more details on these events to follow).
