Laurie Dillon-Schalk

Laurie Dillon-Schalk is the chief marketing strategist and founder of Social Wisdom.ca, a Toronto based digital marketing agency that helps firms use social media and the web wisely.

Laurie sports a rich background from her time in brand marketing and sales at Kraft Canada as well as deep management consulting experience from time with IBM Global Services.  She has worked with some of the largest North American brands and their websites including Futureshop, Bell Canada, Air Canada, Human Resources Development Canada, Sun Life, Holt Renfrew, Kohls, Panasonic, Blue Cross Blue Shields and more. 

In 2009, after years of working on digital strategy and web operations, Laurie founded Socialwisdom.ca to meet the growing demand for social media consulting and education. Her company was the hired gun behind the 2009 Scotiabank BuskerFest including all social media strategy, volunteer engagement programs and full social networking implementation.  In her spare time, Laurie supports non-profit employment centers by teaching newcomers to Canada how to use social media to find a job.  Laurie is also the co-chair to the American Marketing Association's Social Media Group for the Toronto Chapter.
